We're going to market! The MARKET Art Fair in Stockholm presents galleries from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland. We will be showing with Galleri Erik Steen.

MARKET offers art enthusiasts a wide selection of the best in Nordic contemporary art. 32 selected galleries from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland exhibit Nordic and international
contemporary art.

MARKET took place for the first time in February 2006 at the initiative of a group of gallerists looking to create a high quality fair in central Stockholm. The fair puts Swedish and Nordic galleries in the spotlight and participants show a wide selection of the most exciting contemporary art. MARKET took place for the second time in February 2007, including five galleries from our neighbouring Nordic countries. Last year the organisation of the fair was taken over by Konstmässan Market i Stockholm AB. MARKET 2008 featured eight galleries from based outside of Sweden and was very well received by collectors, visitors and press.

For over 270 years the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts has promoted the role of art and architecture in Swedish society. Through its cooperation with the Academy, MARKET anchors the forward looking art scene in a rich artistic tradition. MARKET strives to be the best possible meeting place for galleries and the art-interested public. The fair’s vision is to be the Nordic art scene’s premier fair.
